Katie Price reveals mum Amy's devastated reaction to her 'biggest ever' cosmetic work

Katie Price's mum isn't a big fan of her daughter's new look and life-long love of plastic surgery.

Amy Price has is less than impressed with Katie's latest trip to a cosmetic centre, as the mum-of-five, 45, flaunts her fresh lip fillers and admits she's on a mission to resemble a Bratz doll.

Speaking recently, Katie's little sister Sophie Price - who announced her pregnancy earlier this month - expressed concern about her sibling's love of going under the knife and changing her face with the help of tweakments (Botox and fillers).

"I messaged mum and was like, 'Have you seen her lips? ' I know she texted you and had a go at you," Sophie recalled while chatting to Katie on the latest episode of The Katie Price Show podcast.

Sophie went on to tell listeners how their mother had texted Katie to express her dismay. Katie responded on the podcast, saying, "Oh, she's had a go at me. I did put a filter on to make it look like a Bratz doll." Despite the backlash, including comments about the size of her lips, Katie defended her choice.

"They do look big and have been caned a lot in my messages. Mum was like, 'What have you done? ! ' I like them like that. Let me have something I like. It's self love for me at the minute," Katie stated on her popular podcast. However, Sophie questioned her sister's perspective, asking pointedly, "Is it self love or is it self harm?"

Amy, who has previously criticized Katie's penchant for plastic surgery, especially after her daughter aimed to have the "biggest breasts in Britain" with 2120 CC implants, has been vocal about her disapproval. Amy once remarked, "I've always found Kate's cosmetic surgery ridiculous. Her boobs are bigger than her head, for God's sake!" She even confessed to intervening in Katie's plans, saying, "There have been times where she tells me what she's getting done, and I'll call up and cancel it before she goes."

Amy highlighted Katie's body dysmorphia as the driving force behind her surgery obsession. "Whenever she has a crisis that upsets her, she'll get some surgery, and if she can't do more surgery, then she'll get tattoos," she continued in her memoir. "It's her version of having her hair done. I don't know what she sees in the mirror that we can't, because Kate looking natural is just beautiful."

Katie admitted she battles with poor self-image during an appearance on The Jeremy Vine Show in March last year. "When we were in the makeup room, I looked in the mirror and thought 'I am so ugly'," the star heartbreakingly said while on the Channel 5 show. "I now look in the mirror and think 'Ahhh no more on the face' because you get that surgery 'look' and i've got that!"

Despite her regrets, Katie accepts responsibility for her choices, saying last year: "I've done that to myself". However, she expressed concern about young people undergoing cosmetic procedures, suggesting that 18 is too young. "I started my career when they had no airbrushing and it wasn't how [it is now]," she reminisced, advocating for the legal age for cosmetic surgery to be raised to 21.
