Katie Price begs fans to 'give her a break' ahead of explosive new career

Katie Price has said that people will 'judge her differently' as she promoted her explosive new book on social media.

The mum-of-five's latest autobiography, titled This Is Me, is described as "the true story behind the headlines", and features her thoughts on previous relationships, her family, trouble with addiction and trauma. Set for release on July 18, the new book will offer a new perspective on Katie's life, giving the former glamour model a chance to give her reflections on her tumultuous life.

Speaking to her followers on Instagram, the 46-year-old said: "People have no idea what things I’m having to deal with behind the scenes. People have to remember I’m living it and I have lived it, I don’t know how I came through it, but I did. Because I knew if I didn’t change things myself and mentally, I wouldn’t be here."

She added: "I think people just need to give me a break and get to know me. I don't deserve a lot of things that people say. I think once people read the book, then they'll judge me differently."

The new release comes amid Katie's notice in April that she could be arrested if she misses any more High Court hearings over her bankruptcy. She was originally declared bankrupt in November 2019, and again in March.

Katie was forced to move out of her £2m 'mucky mansion' in Sussex back in May, but reportedly left it in a state, with piles of rubbish on the driveway and a selection of abandoned vehicles. Katie's famous pink Range Rover, which was damaged in an acid attack, was among the items left behind, as well as a horse trailer and children's toys.

A source told The Sun: "Katie has been dreading this day for so long but now it is here, she can't wait to leave. The house has caused her so much grief and was too much to handle on her own. With work and the kids it all became too much in recent years. And she's convinced it's haunted."

Her next property will be rented, and at almost £5,000 per month, it's another huge expense on top of her bankruptcy woes. Having been in and out of court periodically over the last few years about her finances, Katie claimed being a single mum has been the cause of her debt.

Speaking on the Stripping Off With Matt Haycox podcast, Katie said: "Yeah, you should always pay your tax, this and that. But obviously I went through a breakdown so then I didn't pay tax and that's sort of where the bankruptcy thing has come from.

"I will pay it but it just has to be when I've got it. I play the mum and dad role, I've got bills to pay, I've got outgoings, I've got to live."
