Halloween decoration in front garden branded 'messed up' by horrified public

is around the corner - and some of us will be looking to decorate our house.

In America, it's been a tradition for decades, but it's now crept its way over here - with many Brits decking out their gardens with pumpkins, cobwebs, skulls and all sorts of creepy horrors.

But where's the line? For some, it was crossed with this particular set of decorations, with many viewers left sharing their thoughts on social media.

Taking to user shared a pic of the blood-curdling ornament, asking, 'Can we all agree that this Halloween 'decoration' goes too far?'

The decoration in question is made to look like a dead body that has been taped up inside a bin bag and propped up against a tree laced with artificial cobwebs, looking more like a prop from a gangster movie than a seasonal knickknack. You can very easily imagine passersby doing a double-take as they stroll past, wondering whether they should take a snap or call the police.

Some fellow Reddit users were left equally startled by the spin-chilling display, fearing that the homeowner may have taken things a step too far. Others felt it was just a bit of fun, admiring the individual's pitch-black sense of humour.

One person wrote: "Nope. If someone nearby was recently killed then it could be in poor taste but, otherwise, it's pretty funny."

Another joked: "Not far enough, you need a shovel to stick into the ground next to. If you want to go even better hire a cement mixer have a few bags of cement and sand too."

However, a third person wasn't too sure, shuddering: "I thought Halloween was supposed to be about witches and ghosts, not the local Sopranos tribute act."
