Emmerdale viewers 'know' how Rebecca White really died as 'killer unmasked'

There's a new theory about the death of 's Rebecca White, following the shocking news of her passing this week on the soap.

After six years away, the character was killed off in an offscreen storyline. Ross Barton confirmed Rebecca had died months earlier, with her son Seb now living with an aunt.

Ross was clearly grieving the loss of Rebecca, leading to his unlicensed fighting which sparked his return to the ITV soap after six years away. Ross clashed with Billy Fletcher at the start of the week, both of them booked in for fights by promoter Jade.

Billy had also found himself involved in the matches amid his money woes, and Ross was his latest opponent. But amid Rebecca's random death, some viewers are wondering if there's more to what happened to her.

Ross revealed she died after an operation due complications. But with Ross returning and in trouble with Jade, now fighting Billy, one theory has suggested Billy himself could be involved.

Jade is relentlessly trying to get Billy to fight in the matches, and then there's obviously the unexpected twist of Ross being involved too. One viewer has questioned whether Ross and Jade are actually out to get Billy as revenge.

The theory suggests Billy had something to do with Rebecca's death, whether that was intentionally or not. So is Ross out to get Billy with Jade's help to avenge Rebecca in a bizarre twist of events?

The theory read: "I wonder if Billy killed Rebecca or someone Billy knows killed Rebecca, or Billy killed Rebecca by accident." Now, there is nothing to suggest Rebecca was killed and that Ross is lying, while many viewers believe she isn't actually dead.

There also is nothing that would imply at any point in the past few months or in general that Billy would hurt Rebecca and would even have seen her. Billy has had plenty of disappearing acts and mystery phone calls but that all seems to be linked to Jade.

This is soap land though and stranger things have happened. It's not believed Rebecca will be returning to the show and she really is dead, but is Ross hiding something?

Viewers have so many questions after the death twist, wondering if her young son Seb or Seb's father Robert Sugden might make a return. Ross meanwhile still faces trouble at the hands of Jade, as does Billy in upcoming episodes.
