Emmerdale Moira Dingle's fate 'sealed' as she leaves the village amid brain tumour ordeal

Cain Dingle waved his wife Moira goodbye during this Wednesday's trip to but her exit has now sparked death fears.

The farmer portrayed by was diagnosed with a brain tumour in September and made the decision to leave the eponymous village to pay her son Adam a visit.

As regular viewers of the Yorkshire-based drama will remember, Adam (played by ) has been on the run from the authorities since he confessed to the murder of to save his mother from prison in 2017. It was later revealed that he had made his way to Budapest.

Moira and Cain () appeared on this Wednesday's (October 30) instalment of the show as they said goodbye as Moira was gearing up for her departure with her son Matty Barton ().

Cain was annoyed to watch her leave, though she promised to be home for her operation. Over on , now X, one fan was not as convinced she would make it as they wrote: "What is this goodbye? They better NOT kill Moira off screen."

Off-screen deaths are common in the programme - the Dingles Zak Dingle, months after the death of the actor who portrayed him, .

Wednesday's trip to the Dales has also confirmed as Ross Barton dropped the bombshell news on Charity Dingle. And as he continues to cause disruption in the village, Tom King also once announced that his mother Colleen had died off-screen.

But while Moira's future in Emmerdale could be in the balance, no word on Natalie J Robb's departure from the soap has been shared, suggesting that her exit should be temporary.

As mentioned, this comes after Ross Barton () told Charity Dingle () that Rebecca White had passed away off-screen. Ross notably explained that Rebecca's death had been partially caused by heart issues, explaining she had died during a routine surgical procedure, before Charity asked about her son Seb.

This led him to add that Seb had been taken away from him as, at the time of her death, Ross and Rebecca were separated though he remained a present figure in the young boy's life. But overall, Seb remains safe.

Introduced as the daughter of the late Lawrence White and half-sister of Chrissie White, Rebecca - portrayed by actress - was also closely related to one of Emmerdale's , as she was his aunt. But before she bonded with Ross, Rebecca was involved with her sister's ex-husband Robert Sugden.

Though her off-screen death was confirmed, some viewers have shared their doubts and believe she could have been recast and even renamed amid Billy Fletcher's underground .
