EastEnders teases real father of Anna Knight's baby - and it's 'not Bobby Beale'

Viewers tuning into EastEnders on Thursday night learned of a baby twist, as one character learned she was pregnant.

Anna Knight was feeling unwell and admitted to her sister Gina Knight that her period was five days late. After taking a test she was rocked to discover she was pregnant amid her romance with Bobby Beale.

Molly Rainford's character was battling her feelings for Freddie, admitting to her mother Cindy Beale that she didn't know if Bobby was the right man for her. But just as she went to confess her true feelings to Freddie she vomited, and fled the café.

Her sister returned with a pregnancy test and it was soon revealed to be positive. With Anna in shock, it's not clear whether she will keep the baby or if she will tell Bobby and Freddie her news.

But who is the father amid Bobby's exit from the show? Anna revealed Bobby was the father, as she told Gina about her and Bobby using protection, leading to her shock at finding out she was pregnant.

There was no mention of her having had a secret fling with Freddie despite their feelings, with it believed Bobby is the dad. That said, could a major twist see Freddie revealed to be the father, with Bobby set for heartache?

Bobby will bow out of the show in the coming weeks, with actor Clay Milner Russell quitting the role after five years. He's inevitably set for heartache given he's dating Anna and Anna is not leaving.

So with her now having feelings for Freddie, could this mean she ditches Bobby for him? If this is the case, might it be confirmed that the pair did in fact sleep together and the baby is Freddie's?

Spoilers for next week's episodes have confirmed Anna will be left considering her options, unsure whether to go through with the pregnancy. She initially claims she's happy about the news, but later she tells sister Gina she isn't ready to be a mum.

Gina implores Anna to explore all her options and keeps her secret, but Freddie figures it all out when hanging out with her and Bobby as he spots details of a clinic on Anna's laptop. By the end of the week the baby news is revealed, and soon there's a kiss between Freddie and Anna that is spotted by Bobby!
