Coronation Street Mason's brother star's rival soap role revealed as he makes cobbles debut

Send Push

Coronation Street Mason Radcliffe’s brother makes his debut this week - and the actor is no stranger to appearing on a soap.

Bad boy Mason (Luca Toolan) rocked up to the cobbles in 2023 - and it didn’t take him too long to cause plenty of drama on the cobbles.

Viewers of the soap were left horrified as they watched him terrorise Maria Connor’s (Samia Longchambon) young son, Liam Connor (Charlie Wrenshall), so much so, that Liam even thought about taking his life.

However, in April, Mason was sent to a Young Offenders centre for threatening Liam with a knife. A few months later though, and in July, Mason was back on the cobbles, after getting released.

His return ruffled plenty of feathers - with Liam and Dylan left shaken. Meanwhile, Stu Carpenter (Bill Fellows) has shown compassion for Mason, and managed to get him a job at his restaurant, insisting that Mason is trying to turn his life around.

And over in the soap this week, Mason’s brother Logan (Harry Lowbridge) made his first appearance, after having previously been mentioned as having a violent temper.

During Friday’s instalment (October 11) Logan rocked up to the cobbles and watched Mason from his car down the street. Mason pointed out to Stu that his brother was watching him.

However, Logan sped off before Stu could get to him. For Logan actor Harry Lowbridge, this is not his first time on a soap. Currently, he is appearing on the rival soap Doctors, playing Max Barnett.

Logan made his first appearance on the Brummie-based soap earlier this month, as soap favourite Rosie Colton’s (Janice Connolly) grandson.

Sharing his excitement at joining , Harry wrote on his social media: “I will be joining Coronation Street as Logan Radcliffe! Super grateful for this opportunity. Let's see what he has in store for little bro Mason! Time to cause some chaos. Logan's coming.”

His new co-stars also took to their social media accounts to react to his arrival on the Cobbles. Liam McCheyne, who plays Dylan Wilson, said: "Another Radcliffe. Congratulations Harry Lowbridge." Adam Hussain, who plays Aadi Alahan, added: "Welcome to the street."

Mason actor Luca Toolan revealed earlier this year that the soap would be delving into his character’s backstory. He said: “I think this is the kind of abuse Mason has faced his whole life which unfortunately is what has shaped him into the kind of person he is today. I think once Mason is fully back on screen, we will see little nuggets of things which we will be able to explore further into his backstory and give a clearer insight into his family life."
