Chilling moment machete fight breaks out on high street as shoppers beg thugs to stop

Two men were seen fighting in the middle of a busy as horrified shoppers begged them to stop.

The pair - both clad all in black - jostled in the road forcing traffic to stop as children and families could be seen moving away. One shocked onlooker on a bus filmed the armed medieval-style battle on their . The duo were both armed with huge blades and one swung it at his rival before he backed off.

One of the weapons was nearly two feet long, the other about one foot. One witness said: “Don’t do it, please," while another can be heard saying: “Stop.” Thankfully, neither of them landed a blow and the 14-second harrowing video came to an end.

The incident took place on High Street North, East Ham, East , on Monday afternoon. Members of the public, some of them kids, were seen standing near a NatWest bank as the fight ensued. A blue Skoda Octavia stopped in front of them on the road, and a white Kia Sportage pulled out of a side road, before the driver paused after spotting the armed melee. The has been approached for comment regarding the incident.

It comes after a 13-year-old boy was rushed to hospital yesterday after Metropolitan Police officers were alerted to reports of a stabbing at 3:31pm in Broadway, Bexleyheath, south east London. Officers and paramedics found a 13-year-old boy with a stab injury.

The boy was taken to hospital shortly after being found and there has been no update regarding his condition. MyLondon reported photos showed several police were at the scene and at least three police cars were seen parked nearby on the pavement. Locals reported seeing "a lot of school kids" in the area at the time of the stabbing.
