Reality TV star Stephen Webb has admitted he was 'called out' over his bad behaviour on Celebs Go Dating.

The Gogglebox star revealed that experts Paul Carrick Brunson, Anna Williamson and Dr Tara Suwinyattichaiporn scolded him over a particularly bad habit, which they advised him to address. Speaking exclusively to the Mirror, Stephen confessed: "I did get called out on a bad habit."

Remaining tight-lipped on what the experts told him, he added: "I was asked to look at [my behaviour] in a different way, still do it, but tweak it." It comes after Stephen received a backlash over his "crude" behaviour and asking his dates "inappropriate" questions. However, in recent scenes, Stephen appeared to have listened to the experts' advice, making a heartfelt gesture to his recent date David by handing over a birthday gift during dinner.

Stephen and his ex-husband Daniel left fans heartbroken when they announced they would be stepping away from the Channel 4 show towards the end of last year. The former couple devastated fans further earlier this year when they revealed their marriage was over.

Just months after announcing their split in April, Stephen was revealed as one of the stars of the upcoming series of Celebs Go Dating. Stephen revealed he spoke to ex Daniel about going on the show. He said: "I did ask Daniel for his permission to do the show, because we still live together and if he had said, 'I'd prefer you not to do it'. I wouldn't have done it, but he didn't."

Stephen revealed Daniel gave him his blessing and encouraged him to make the most of the opportunity. "He said, 'I think you should do it. I think it'd be really good for you. And so, I had his blessing." Explaining why he wanted to put himself back out into the dating world for the show, Stephen admitted he needed help from the experts. He shared: "I did it because I'd come out of a long term relationship, and I wanted to get some advice on dating again, because I haven't dated for so long.

"And I thought, 'Why not?' I got offered it, and I thought, 'I think it'd be a good opportunity.'" The Gogglebox star went on to tease that his venture into the dating world again may have been successful. "[Taking part in the show] has worked out, it's paid off, literally," he hinted. Meanwhile, Stephen addressed the criticism he received in an interview for Best magazine's Suddenly Single podcast.

He said: "I've been out of the dating game for 12 years. So, very rusty. Very rusty And I have got, I will admit, a kind of 1970s Benny Hill, kind of, sense of humour which doesn't go down well with the under 30s. I've had to tune that in. I've learned that from being on Celebs Go Dating that I may be a little bit archaic. I just think there's a lot of people out there that are ready to be offended and ready to cancel you. So I was quite aware of that. Not straight away."
