A British man has died after plunging from the sixth-floor of a building in the Majorcan capital Palma in front of horrified tourists.
Police are investigating the incident after the alarm was raised around 2pm today. Local reports have described the dead man as a British national aged 64. It was not immediately clear today if he was resident in Majorca or a holidaymaker.
Police confirmed this evening the dead man was a British national. A well-placed source said his death wasn’t being treated as a crime at this stage, although investigators were still awaiting the results of an autopsy.
