Ben Shephard lets slip Tipping Point moment fans 'never see' on This Morning

Ben Shephard let slip a major Tipping Point secret while hosting ITV's flagship show, This Morning.

The 49-year-old and his co-host Cat Deeley were back for another instalment on Thursday (July 4) as they entertained fans across the nation. During the show, the pair played their new game Coin Drop.

The Coin Drop competition started this week and allows viewers to win a whopping £20,000. Once a caller gets through to Cat and Ben they are then given a coin that can be dropped into the machine.

The coin can land on any amount at the bottom of the board once the coin is slotted into one of the seven numbers at the top by either Cat or Ben. However on today's show, Ben was quick to highlight that the game is very similar to his popular quizzing programme Tipping Point.

As the coin accidentally became wedged and didn't fall down to the bottom of the board during today's show, Ben disclosed a Tipping Point secret. He said: "Hold on a sec, so we have a little incident here!"

Speaking to Cat, he continued: "This occasionally happens on a show that I do. You never see it though because we can edit it, this live.

"So I'm going to take this out and we're gonna drop it again." He then handed the coin back to Cat after jokingly insinuating that she had broken the board.

Tipping Point airs at 4pm weekdays on ITV. Just like the new game Coin Drop, viewers on Tipping Point can win up to £20,000.

The secret reveal comes after avid This Morning fans were left disappointed with the new game. Coin Drop has replaced the This Morning's famous Spin To Win.

But unlike Spin To Win, Coin Drop is not free to enter. Heading over to X in their droves, disgruntled fans have shared their annoyance.

One viewer raged: "Cannot believe they replaced the free spin to win with a £2 entry game of bl***y plinko." While another added: "This s*** has replaced spin to win and there's a £2 fee, no thanks."
